Per Army Order AO 32/84, individuals who have served in the military for a minimum of 5 years, their families, and ex-defense personnel are eligible to access CSD (I) Canteen services offered in military units/establishments. Furthermore, cadets/recruits who have been released on medical grounds may also utilize CSD facilities.

Ex Servicemen Canteen Near Me
An Indian ex-serviceman is someone who has served in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force as a warrior or veteran of any rank and has retired from such service while receiving a pension. It also includes individuals who have been released from service due to medical reasons attributable to military service or uncontrollable circumstances, and who have been awarded medical or other disability pensions. Those who have retired or been discharged at their own request and received a pension, or as a result of a reduction in establishment, are also considered ex-servicemen. Additionally, those who have completed their period of engagements are also included, provided they were not dismissed due to misconduct or inefficiency, and have been given a gratuity. This category also comprises personnel of the Territorial Army.
CSD Smart Card Application Form
CSD Application Forms to Ex-Servicemen for All Regions: Serving personnel must obtain the forms from their dependent CSD URC Canteen. Please ensure that you meet the criteria before downloading the form and select the appropriate one based on the region of your canteen. The application process remains the same except for the availability of online forms. It is important to print the form on both sides of A4 paper without modifying the size or margins to avoid rejection. After filling out the form, submit it to the nearest canteen according to the existing procedure.
Region-wise CSD Application Form
This is a list of regions where interested people can download a CSD Smart Card online application form. The Central Region includes Lucknow, Dehradun, and Ranchi, among others. The North Region includes Jammu, Leh and Udhampur, among others. The East Region includes Kolkata, Siliguri and Shillong, among others. The South Region includes Mumbai, Chennai, Bhopal and Trivandrum, among others. Lastly, the Delhi Region includes Delhi, Meerut, and Agra.
Rebate in GST for Purchasing in CSD
The CSD canteens can sell items to ex-servicemen and service personnel without having to pay any taxes. You can find CSD canteens in almost all districts and tehsil headquarters. Ex-servicemen and serving soldiers can also receive a rebate in GST when purchasing liquor through CSD.
