It is now easier than ever for customers to log in and navigate the portal. Additionally, there are two important changes that every CSD customer must acknowledge before proceeding with their purchases – these changes pertain to the payment system and the requirement of an individual bank account.

CSD Rank-Wise Eligibility Criteria 2025
The eligibility criteria for the purchase of Cars, Bikes, and Electronic Items by Army Personnel and Ex-Servicemen has been revised by the headquarters of CSD, effective from 2025.
The new CSD car policy for individuals in pay levels 3 to 5 of the Armed Forces allows for a maximum eligible amount of 8 lakhs, excluding taxes, to purchase a car. Each person can buy up to four cars in their lifetime, with the first car eligible after 5 years of service and subsequent cars having an 8-year gap between purchases. Pensioner widows can use the unused quota of the deceased individual, but if the person had already purchased four cars, the widow does not qualify. The gap between car purchases should be 8 years.
The Latest Car Policy for Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and equivalent ranks in the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy has been revised for the year 2025. This policy allows Defence Personnel in pay levels 6 to 9 to procure a maximum of five cars throughout their lifetime from the CSD AFD online portal. This new policy represents a significant improvement compared to the previous restriction of three cars.
This benefit applies to both current and former members of the Armed Forces, including pensioners, widows, and next of kin. The maximum amount for purchasing cars is 10 lakhs, excluding taxes. Each individual is permitted to purchase up to five cars during their lifetime. The first car can be purchased after completing five years of service, and there should be a minimum gap of eight years between the purchase of two cars.
Pensioners, widows, and next of kin also have the option to purchase cars using the unused quota of the individual. However, if the individual had already purchased five cars before their passing, this entitlement does not apply. The minimum gap of eight years between purchases still remains in effect – Click To Know More
