LDC, UDC, and OS Salary after the 7th Pay Commission
The 7th Pay Commission has brought about changes in the salaries of Lower Division Clerks, Upper Division Clerks, and Office Superintendents. To clarify, LDC stands for Lower Division Clerk, UDC stands for Upper Division Clerk, and OS stands for Office Superintendent.

Minimum Pay Scale for UDC in Central Govt.
As per the revised Pay Rules 2016, the Pay of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) is fixed as Level 4 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Grade Pay Rs.2400 prescribed for Upper Division Clerk in Sixth CPC. The starting basic salary for UDC in Central Government is fixed as Level 4 in the 7th Pay Matrix with a minimum pay of Rs.25,500.
Minimum Pay Scale for LDC in Central Govt.
As per the revised Pay Rules 2016, the Pay of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) is fixed as Level 2 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Grade Pay Rs.1900 prescribed for Upper Division Clerk in Sixth CPC. The starting basic salary for UDC in Central Government is fixed as Level 2 in the 7th Pay Matrix with a minimum pay of Rs.19,900.
